Veteran’s Day is November 11th. The Maintain Me team wanted to take a moment to thank all Veterans for their service and honor a few loved ones as well.
Morgan would like to honor:
Her father-in-law Howard Jenkins cir. 1965 who served in the Army during Viet Nam. He is still with us.
Her Uncle-in-law Ted Worth who served in the Army. He is still with us.
Her Uncle-in-law, Kent Worth who served in the Navy (Photo from 1972-1973). He is no longer with us.
Her grandfather William Spurlin who served in the Marines during WWII and the Korean war. He is no longer with us.
Julie would like to honor:
Her father "Pops" the pilot of B-17s in WWII. She honors him and his two younger brothers, who also joined the military. One became a Navy pilot and the other an Armor Gunner on a B-17. All three returned home after the war.
One of the bombers her father Co-Piloted was "Murderer's Row", named for the batting order of the New York Yankees. He survived his 25 missions, with only a few FUBARs (mistakes). He then became a test pilot for the US Army Air Corps.
The team would also like to wish an extra special Veteran's day to our Business Office Manager, Josie! She served in the Navy on board a destroyer for four years.
