A Homeowners Association (HOA) is a legal entity that is usually a non-profit organization charged with carrying out the HOA's business. The HOA is run by a board of directors who are homeowners. The home owners volunteer to be on the Board.
The HOA is charged with managing finances, enforcing covenants, and mitigating conflicts over property use and appearance. Frequently they also maintain amenities for the neighborhood such as pools and landscaping.
The session will help participants gain an understanding of HOA laws, how to manage conflicts and disputes with HOAs, and how to stop a foreclosure by an HOA .
